There many stereotypes about writing a script. For instance when we consider a Scriptwriter we envision them sitting in the countryside, tasting a hot mug of espresso with a pen and a diary, gazing at the excellence of the dusk, and composing a stunning story. This might be true at times but not every story is written like that, instead, it takes a lot of brainstorming even when you already know the main idea which you want to showcase through your play. If you go to your scriptwriter’s house or working space, you will definitely find a pile of drafts near their writing space. A story is not composed on one go, but if you look at their writing journey you’ll find many drafts and changes on the way. One needs to consider various aspects while writing a script for theatre. Creating an amazing and interesting plot is a skill, if there is no plot then your story won’t go anywhere. The plot drives your story, taking you, your crowd, and your characters from the earliest starting point as far as possible. The more interesting your plot is, the more people are attracted. Scriptwriters after composing the plot visualize the whole story and then make necessary changes, they preview the play before in their mind and look at the story through various perspectives and then finalize it.

When it comes to characters, every one of your characters ought to be novel and simple for the crowd to recognize. The characters are the main piece of any story. Furthermore, character development is fundamental to affect the audience. Not just focusing on the character’s traits and behaviour but also its surroundings. For instance, if you’ve added a character who was born and raised in open country or rural zone, typically wear dhotis and sarees. Go to the particular area observe the place, people, and culture. if unable to visit, surfing through the internet always helps.

What makes every story unique? The special twist in a scene or even the smallest dialogue becomes legendary and uplifts the whole play. That’s the same reason why every writer’s thoughts differ. Everyone has a different perspective so before criticizing a play or blaming the scriptwriter one should first see their side of the story, what all they had to go through. One needs to adapt parallel ways of thinking before putting allegations on writers or the people behind the curtains. It takes courage to be a writer, to showcase their part of the story to the world out there.
